DETROIT TIGERS AT PITTSBURGH PIRATES 7:05 EST
CURRENT LINE DETROIT -$115 TOTAL 7.5
PITCHING MATCHUP- TIGERS DOUG FISTER (1-3 2.68 ERA) PIRATES A.J BURNETT (7-2 3.52 ERA)

The Tigers go into the Steel City to finish up Interleague play for 2012 against the team they have played the most in the cross league action, and they come in looking much more like the team everyone thought they would be. The last time the Pirates and Tigers met was at Comerica Park in Motown in May, It was the Pirates on the rise and the Tigers looking to find themselves.

Now both teams feel like they are contenders , The Tigers just 2.5 games out of first in the AL Central and the Bucs just 2 out of the NL Central, and the teams send two of their best to the hill in game one of the series. Doug Fister just came of the DL for the second time this season, but looked very sharp in his first start back and has never faced the Pirates before , which tends to be an advantage for the pitcher. The Bucs send A.J Burnett to the hill who is trying to match the longest winning streak of his career at seven games.

PREDICTION (BASED ON A 1-10 "Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven", Lebron James bathtub rubber ducky scale)

7.4 Rubber Duckies on the Tigers -$115 -This should be a great low scoring pitching duel that will favor the Tigers big bats in the end. Burnett has been pitching great , but has not had the best success against the Tigers in his career and Detroit is really starting to come into their own winning nine of their last 13 games. Look for some late inning heroics by Austin Jackson and Miguel Cabrera and for the Tigers to open the series with a win.

DTM's tidbit of the day- The Tigers are 17-13 against the Pirates in Interleague play, have won six of the last nine since 2010, and two of three earlier this year in Detroit. And always tip your bartenders!!
