    Default C.C. Rider NBA

Just recently started posting at eog under 'Foom'. Figured I'd share & see what ATB was all about. Her we go. All lines from pinny. One unit per play.

    703. Bulls -2 -05

2 great defensive teams, but the edge goes to Chicago b/c they are the better rebounding team. Battier, Vooch, EB, etc will need big efforts in order to win the rebounds.

Injuries: Bulls are healthy for the most part. Deng & Rip missed Monday, but Deng is day to day. Otoh, Rip will miss some time. With Hawes still out for Philly, Chicago is healthy enough for a win.

Jrue will have his hands full with Rose tonight. The only way I see Philly hanging is if Jrue slows him down. I don't see it. Kinda reminds you of when NJ came in & smoked Philly on the boards. We all know Chicago is better than NJ. This may get ugly.

welcome to the forum. I think the Bulls take this one. I'm a Heat fan but after seeing the Bulls play us on Sunday, think they are best in the East when healthy.

Thanks GCP! Bulls are also battle-tested & Philly only seems to beat up on poor teams. Jrue v. Rose is what it comes down to imo.

Philly is outrebounding Chicago 26-23 at half. And Philly's bench is winning their war. Not going as planned yet

I can't believe Philly is playing this well. It is mind boggling. Welcome to ATB. Looking forward to your pick tomorrow.

    801. Mia -2 ev
Letdown! Sixers off a big win & Miami looking to rebound from a bad loss to the Bucks.
Last time these two teams met, the Heat beat the Sixers in points in the paint, rebounding & free throws. Philly was without Hawes & later Vooch went down(he will be available tonight). Wade sat for Miami in that game. Tonight, Jrue will have the pleasure of guarding him; he did shut Rose down the other night. Lebron will be checked by Iggy. I gotta think that even though Jrue & Iggy are good defenders, Lebron & Wade won't be stopped.
Basically this one boils down to stopping Miami in the paint & I still don't buy Philly as being a dominent team. Yeah, they looked good against Chicago & I originally thought that was a very good matchup; I was wrong. Chicago started to rest their stars after they got down(for the upcoming road trip, I believe). Chicago was cold shooting too. Hoping for those roles to be reversed tonight. Minus two seems cheap. Vegas is giving Philly too much love.

Let's see if the Heat can play a full game! They are frustrating the hell out of me this year!

    506. Sixers -4' -07
Lakers come to town (4-5, L9) & will surely give Philly trouble inside. Bynum is off to a solid year; then there's Gasol who compliments Bynum very well. He can shoot/pass from the outside which will give Bynum room inside. EB is out tonight so Allen & Young will syruggle to guard Gasol.
One of the things I don't like about LA here is their pg's.(Fisher & World Peace) no threat offensively. They also struggle on the road.
Philly gets the advantage in the backcourt. Fisher & Artest don't stand a chance.
Having guys like Kobe, Gasol & Bynum will keep LA in most games, but I think Philly is a much better team all around.
Defensively, the Sixers should play man to man on Kobe and look to double the big men. The Lakers are 25th in the league in three pointers made and 28th in three point percentage despite the attention their big men receive. The Sixers have given up the second fewest three's in the league this year. Outside of Troy Murphy, they don't have much in the way of reliable three point shooting. If the Sixers rotations are crisp, they should be able to keep this team in check, despite the potency of their top three scorers.

    *Mike Brown suspended tonight.

That's a good game right now! Lakers actually just went up a point.. Wow, looking like it will be good finish.
