RACE #8 - PARX RACING - 3:22 PM EASTERN POST

8.3 FURLONGS DIRT THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD ALLOWANCE $47,000.00 PURSE

    #1 MOON PHILLY

    #3 BELLAMY ROADSTER

    #4 ASSYRIA

    #2 GRAMMY PAT

#1 MOON PHILLY is the overall pace profile leader in this allowance field today racing at, or about, 8.3 furlongs on the dirt, and has hit the board in each of his three career starts to date, including back-to-back "POWER RUN WINS" in his last two adventures. Jockey Ken Carmouche and Trainer Michael Trombetta send him "postward" this afternoon ... they've hit the board with 65% of their entries saddled as a team to date.

#3 BELLAMY ROADSTER, takes a slight class drop (-1), and has hit the board in four straight, including a BLISTERING, 15-length, "POWER RUN WIN" in his last start.

Who will be in the NBA Finals? Will it be the Westbrook and Durant tandem facing the New Big Three in the Heat? Will it be an old rivalry of Kobe and the Lake Show vs. Rondo and the Old Big Three Celtics? Or could it be someone completely new and different like the Clippers vs. the Indiana Pacers? All ATB knows is that we want you to be involved and ready to win some money buying squares to Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The cost for each square is 200 points. Four different prizes are up for grabs:

    The Prizes are:

1st Quarter winner: 1000 ATB Points

3rd Quarter winner: 1000 ATB Points

    Halftime winner: 2000 ATB Points

    Final Score winner $500 Cash

If a poster wins ATB points they will be transferred to him/her within twenty-four hours of the game. The poster who picks the final score can claim his/her prize by emailing the contestguru18@gmail.com. Posters are allowed up to four squares each.

Each square you buy will result in 200 points being deducted from your grand total.

    To play:
Simply select a square or squares not already taken by clicking on it in the Contest Pool. A Pop-Up box will ask you if you want to spend 100 points for the square you clicked on. You can click on YES in which case you will get the square as your avatar will fill in the square. If you do not have an avatar the system will assign you a stock avatar and 200 points will be deducted from your point total. Click on cancel and you will be back to where you started before you clicked on the particular square in question. To make sure the square is yours place your mouse over the square and your user-name will appear as owner of that particular square. Be sure you are logged in whenever you attempt to buy a square.

Anyone experiencing difficulties can contact me at contestguru18@gmail.com with your poster name and a brief description of the difficulty. I will get back to you ASAP.

The first poster to take a particular square gets it.Once all the 100 squares are sold on the pool card, the numbers will be drawn. This will be done with a deck of cards (ace- 10) facing upside down. After shuffling them, a person draws them one at a time until all of them are used as they are selected across the top of the columns and repeats the process on the left (facing the dealer) side of the sheet. We will have witnesses during the drawing to ensure that no foul play is involved and everyone has an equal chance to get any number. Once the numbers are drawn, all the posters can view their numbers and sit back and enjoy the game with an added incentive.

A maximum of up four squares per poster is a contest rule.

No house cut will be subtracted in this ATB Pool. The winning squares will be circled and in this thread we will identify which posters won each prize. I will be happy to answer any questions posted in this thread.

To enter and pick your square please click here

Come join us in the Contest Forum and WIN SOME CASH!!!!

    Sincerely,
    CG

    Parx Racing - Race #10 - Post: 4:16pm - Maiden Claiming - 8.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $17,000 Class Rating: 60

    Rating: 4

    #3 KANGAROO KID (ML=9/2)

    #1 MOREFORYOURMONEY (ML=6/1)

KANGAROO KID - Esquilin and Aristone perform well when they team up. It's hard to beat a +115 return on investment for a jock and handler. The June 9th race at Parx Racing was at a class level of (78). Dropping down the class scale drastically, so he should be in a good place.

MOREFORYOURMONEY - I am keen on that last effort on June 2nd at Parx Racing where he finished fourth. The June 2nd race at Parx Racing was at a class level of (67). Dropping down the class scale significantly, so he should be in a good position to win. Got to like a equine athlete who can make up a ton of ground in the stretch. This gelding came flying late sprinting last time out and should relish the longer distance of today's race.

    Vulnerable Contenders:

    #4 FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS (ML=6/5),
    #9 VANDER GELDER (ML=3/1),
    #11 ACONCERTTOREMEMBER (ML=3/1)
    ,

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS - No wager value on this participant at the probable odds of 6/5.

VANDER GELDER - This gelding is always in the mix, but just doesn't get the job done. Hard to wager on him on the front end.

ACONCERTTOREMEMBER - Most unsatisfactory rating last out at Parx Racing at 7 furlongs. Don't think this questionable contender will improve too much in today's event.

    STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Play #3 KANGAROO KID to win if you can get odds of 7/5 or more

    EXACTA WAGERS:
    Box [1,3]

    TRIFECTA WAGERS:
    Pass

    SUPERFECTA WAGERS:

    RECOMMENDED CHOICES

    # 4 JAMIN JUSTICE 7/2

    # 7 GAYLA'S GOLD 6/1

    # 2 MOONRUNNER 5/1

JAMIN JUSTICE is the top bet in this race. Will almost certainly compete soundly in the early pace clash which bodes well with this group. Recent numbers for the jockey - 17 win percent - make this filly stand out in this group.

GAYLA'S GOLD - Last time out, this filly was up against a much tougher bunch. With a nice class rating average of 55, has one of the top class advantages in this group of animals.

    Suffolk Downs - Race #2 - Post: 1:12pm - Claiming - 8.3 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $9,000 Class Rating: 70

    Rating: 4

    #2 KALEDOSKOP (ML=3/1)

KALEDOSKOP - This colt has 'tactical' speed, Reznikov will use this advantage by laying in perfect stalking position behind the early speed, and getting first run on the leaders. This horse didn't run well on an off track in his last race at Tampa Bay. You probably want to disregard that performance. The April 21st event at Tampa Bay was at a class level of (79). Dropping down in class a significant amount, so he should be in a good spot.

    Vulnerable Contenders:

    #1 FREE FALLIN' MON (ML=8/5),
    #7 DOC'S SUGAR SHACK (ML=9/5),
    #3 FESTIVO (ML=8/1),

FREE FALLIN' MON - A pattern of dropping speed ratings 66/61/51 for this less than sharp equine.

DOC'S SUGAR SHACK - Can't really be sure that the last speed rating of 75 is legitimate since it was earned on a sloppy track.

FESTIVO - Finished third in his most recent performance with a somewhat easily forgotten speed figure. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to score after that in this bunch.

    STRAIGHT WAGERS:
#2 KALEDOSKOP is going to be the play if we are getting 1/1 or better

    EXACTA WAGERS:
    2 with 3

    TRIFECTA WAGERS:
    None

    RECOMMENDED CHOICES

    # 4 BLACK POTION 12/1

    # 3 BOBBLE HEAD DOLL 9/2

    # 2 READY FOR RAY 5/2

BLACK POTION has a decent shot to take this outing and is a formidable value bet given the line at 12/1.

BOBBLE HEAD DOLL - Appears to be the type to be helped with first time Lasix here. The trainer wheels this one right back to race again.

READY FOR RAY - Barrios ought to be able to get this gelding to break out sharply for this event. Displays sound Speed Figures on average overall when matched with the rest of this group.

Test Run: 15 Day long Challenge.
    ATB BUY IN: FREE

ATB wants to test your handicapping skills over a 15 day period. Here is the deal…you need to make 15 picks within the next 15 days. One pick per day. The pick has to be a ML for the full game only. It doesn’t matter if it’s NBA, WNBA, or Baseball.
You win, you move on to the next day, you lose you are out… but there a catch…most streak contests once you’re out your done but ATB we do things different. We will let you right back in the game to start the streak over again because there are prizes for almost every streak. There is also one more twist to the contest, if you pick a ML underdog +150 or more you get one “save.” This means that when you lose a game you can use your “save” for a second chance. The more underdogs you pick, the more saves you can tally up (max 4 saves per 15 days).

You might say what if no one hits the 15 game streak? At ATB we want everyone to win so if you can’t hit all 15 games the longest streak wins.

If there is someone with the same streak at the end, the tie breaker is most overall plus units. The second tie breaker is most posts on the site (no last minute spamming).
This contest is our test run for the big ATB SURVIVORS CHALLENGE that will start right after the All Star break on July 15th where the prizes will be as HOT as the summer weather.
