Gaming License Greenlit for UK Bookie: UK bookmaking giant William Hill PLC, has been granted its license to operate in Nevada, after a unanimous show of approval by the Nevada Gaming Commission on Thursday. In 2011, William Hill paid $55 million for American Wagering Inc., Brandywine Bookmaking LLC, and Club Cal-Neva's sports book business in Northern Nevada., giving the company control of 55 percent of the sports-betting market in Nevada.

Great story but to bad it will be years before it is ever allowed to operate beyond the borders of Nevada. Getting the states to agree on a system is gonna be tough. Keep in mind it took over 30 years to get the lotto in as many states as it is now.; Only way it goes any faster is if we see federal regulation. That seems way in the future as well. This just isn't a big issue in Washington. Only a few are against it but most of the rest just don't care. Lets not forget that the average american still thinks us sports bettors are degenerates and sociopaths who steal from old ladies and our own children's college fund to bet.
